The trip to the chassis dyno produced 430 rearwheel hp, and 491 rear wheel torque. Peak torque was at 4,200 rpm and peak hp came in at 5,000 rpm. The other interesting thing that happened was the wide Band O2 sensor went off the map rich. This worked out well to deter detonation but the guy at he dyno said there was more power in it if I leaned it out and tried race gas. He also told me that my 700-r4 tranny, stock except for a shift kit, would not transfer the power of this motor to the rear wheels. He insisted that 600 ft-lbs at the flywheel would slip this tranny. I agreed.
